  1. Install the DroidCam app on your phone from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store 
     
  2. Install the DroidCam desktop client on your computer from the Dev47 Apps website 
     
  3. Connect your phone and computer to the same network using Wi-Fi or an ethernet/LAN cable 
     
  4. Open the DroidCam app on your phone and go through the initial installation 
     
  5. Open the DroidCam client on your computer and install audio drivers 
     
  6. In the desktop app, enter your phone's IP in the Device IP field 
     
  7. Check the Video and Audio boxes 
     
  8. In the mobile app, choose the front- or back-facing camera 
     
  9. Click Start in the desktop app 
     
  10. Open the software you will be using and verify the camera output by selecting DroidCam Source from the video settings menu 
     
You can also connect your phone to your computer using a USB cable. To do this, you'll need to:
  1. Go to your phone's Settings > Developer Options > Enable USB debugging
  2. Launch the DroidCam app on your phone and make sure the phone is connected to the computer
  3. Launch the DroidCam Client on the computer and click on the USB option
